چکیده

The methanol extracts of the various plant parts were screened for anti-oxidant activity by thin layer chromatography using 2,2-diphenyl-1-dipicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) while in vitro antimicrobial evaluation was determined agar diffusion method and bioautographic technique Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus Pseudomonas aeruginosa as test organisms; aqueous solvent served control ciprofloxacin standard drug. result showed that stem, leaf, root seed found to be stronger against entire organisms stem leaf also possess strong antioxidant activity. property shown is an evidence ethno medicinal uses plant. G. herbaceum seed, epicarp, bark, may provide novel plant-derived therapeutic agents, effective treating infectious diseases arising from multiple drug-resistant bacteria a target management oxidative stress could easily lead aging.
